You Might Have Missed this #3b – Who says ‘I’ll saw your head off?’ anymore?

1. I read today that a Jewish student was threatened at an Israel Apartheid Week ‘lecture’ by an ‘unlicensed’ security guard with the words, “I’ll saw your head off.”  How does a grown person use such words in a threat? Do his words equal an image in his head of actually initiating such an action? Would you ever threaten to cut off somebody’s head? If you were threatening someone, and you were fiercely mad what words would you use?  What do you say to a man who threatens to saw off your heard? http://thentherewaslight.com/547_statemen-student-assaulted-at-u-of-t/

2. I met a man today who seemed very tired and quiet. He had lines etched into his face that if connected might reflect an image of a weary person who throughout his life, had been afraid to speak. While we talked he became emboldened. By the time our conversation was finished his eyes were brighter and wider. Do you ever feel as if you shouldn’t talk? Why? Can you feel yourself becoming stronger, though, when you decide to (talk)?

3. I spoke to my coach a few days ago who is still trying to convince me to meditate more often knowing that it will help my anxious state. I am so slow to respond though maybe because I am too set in my ways. What should you be doing that you’re not? How come, if you know it will make you better?

  1. 1. Call the police!
    3. I never meditate – too boring – though lots of people were preaching the positive sides of meditation to me. I am one of those people, who complete the Amidah in 2 minutes, because my mind gets tired too quickly. I guess that you have to work with what you have.
I should be studying more instead of being online. :)
