1. ….a mover who used to play for the Toronto Argonauts. He lost his daughter to a car accident. He has saved many lives as a ‘volunteer’ fireman. I realized that everyone has a story to tell, some pretty fascinating, and generally worthwhile.
2. …I saw an opera singer tonight, in her mid-eighties (who appears to be 20 years younger) wh0 once forgot the song she was supposed to sing in front of hundreds of people. She had dreamed such a things would happen and it did. She said once it actually happened she felt as if she was back in the dream.
3. …a father whose father left him; was very angry most of his life but has mostly overcome it so that he does not pass it on to his daughter.
These are snippets, things that happened throughout the day, people I met. Their stories are much more extensive and educational – by this I mean, I learned from each one of them. The fireman taught me about the ability to get through stuff; the opera singer, about how dreams can come true, and the father – how to overcome our anger.
And this was just today — November 26, 2010. Can wait until tomorrow.
